Personalised Golden wedding card

This was a commission for a lady who visited my stall when I was at the Masonic Hall in Darwen last Saturday.  She was very kind and loved my cards in particularly my more (what I call) arty farty ones.
Needless to say she wanted something for a couple who were celebrating their golden wedding and we looked at various cards on the stall and the stamps used and this is the end result.  I started with plain white card and used antique linen and wild honey inks for all the distressing and stamping.  the background stamp is one I have used quite a few times and the couple like to travel so I used my big atlas stamp for the topper
I stamped two "sketcy" hearts with a free stamp from a magazine I once got and the letters come from a box full of small clear stamps I have had for several years.  I have used a mixture of the wet ink and and some versamark and added gold mica powder just to bling it up a bit.

I was a bit worried about it but I delivered it on Wednesday and she was thrilled to bits .....phew x

I have an award

What a lovely afternoon I have had  today.  I nipped over to Burnley to a craft club I go to most weeks.  It was a little quiet today so I got lots done - which is just as well as I am having a stall at a local craft fair this week and my stock is a bit depleted due to having a few busy weekends at other fairs.... oh La.

Any way on my arrival home I switched on my trusty laptop to discover that I have been given an award by the lovely Jane Telford. Jane is a fellow crafty with whom (together with another couple of friends) I spent a lovely afternoon yesterday full of crafty chat! She is a brilliant crafter and is also a member of the Claritystamp Challenge blog.  So Jane ---- I say a mahoosive thank you --- please pop over to Jane's blog and have a look around there are some amazing projects.  here is the linky:-  http://janescraftybits.blogspot.co.uk/

I will display the badge on my blog with pride.

This award is designed for blogs that have less than 200 followers. Once the award has been accepted, the idea is to pay it forward to 5 other blogs that you like to read and follow, and hopefully encourage others to visit, read and follow them too.

To accept the award you have to ......
Thank the person who gave it to you, and link back to their blog
Post the award on your blog
Give the award to 5 other Bloggers, with less than 200 followers and leave a comment on their blogs telling them they've been nominated.

And my nominations are:-

Hellen Pearce
Hellen is a crafter across many mediums and a very talented lady she is on a couple of design teams - Claritystampchallenge and also for Jane Nosterenko so her cards vary greatly in their content and style.

Paula Whittaker
Paula is a fantstic stamper and designs for the craft stamper magazine.  I wish I could create the sorts of masterpeices that Paula does ..... a girl can dream.

Yvonne Froehlich
A great crafter, another of the Claritystamp Challenge design team who has just won a place on the Splodgeaway design team

Janet Pring
Janet is new to blogland but sooo glad that she has finally taken the plunge to join in.  I have admired Janet's work through facebook and of course she is a member of the Clarity design team and also runs the Claritystampers East workshop together with her friend Moira Walters

and my final nominations is to
Moira Walters

Well I couldn't possibly nominate Janet without Moira.
Another newbie to blog land but again I have been watching all Moira's posts over on facebook and she does some beautiful projects.

10th wedding anniversary

Oh I have been a very bad blogger lately. at one stage I did manage to blog most days but I just seem to be so busy I done't have time! So as I was up at silly o'clock this morning I thought I would schedule a few of my latest makes.  I have been busy making orders ( some of which I cannot show on here yet) but  I will blog those that I can.

I go onto some blogs and people seem to have a particular style - me I think I just like having a bash at all sorts of randomness and depends on my mood.  I really love the bright colours and grungy styles but as yet have not had much time to "play"

I have another stall at a craft fair this Saturday - I am afraid that it is going to be a bit of a poor show as over the last few weeks I have sold  so many that I can't replace my stock fast enough.... I shouldn't whine should I?

This is a commission for a 10th Wedding Anniversary I have used the heart stamp that I won at the Karaoke workshop in Harrogate last month! background is pearl card embossed on my Hougie board rest is just a bit of silver embossing and spellbinder dies xx

Juliet

I thought I would treat you all and do two blogs today.

My craft fair in a local Hall yesterday was much better than I anticipated  and as a result I know I am going to be very busy this week.  I have already been to the market for some ribbon as I have some invitations to make.  What is it with cadbury purple and invitations I do get asked a lot for these.  I did some samples for a  wedding last week (she has norrowed the choices down to three so far  lol) and now I have some diamond wedding ones to do also in purple.  Hey ho who am I to complain as at least I know the  correct RGB settings in the computer to get the writing to match.

So here are my offerings for this post am now of to get busy busy busy

Two more cards for the post today - as they are the same but different

The main image is Juliet from Indigoblu.  The background on the top one is second generation stamping with the Indigoblu butterfly that was free with the craft stamper mag and a happy birthday sentiment.
The background on the bottom one was created using the sketchy stamp from Kaisercraft .

I bought the texture stamps from Kaisercraft as I thought they would be great for backgrounds on mens cards but I am fairly chuffed how it turned out on here for a ladies card - just adds a wee bit on interest and takes away the whiteness.

Thanks for stopping by

Flutterbies

just some quick cards that I made last week with the theme butterflies.

All are just stamped onto plain white card and coloured with pro markers added a sentiment and then the whole thing is covered in frosted film from Tim Holtz  Butterfiles are Clarity and Indoblu.

Friday already

Hi there blogland !!

My weeks are flying by I just have no idea where they go.  It only feels like yesterday when I was doing the Lancashire Market in Preston and yet here we are Friday.  What a busy day it was last Saturday it was freeeeeezing but still it was a good day. I didn't mention it on Monday as that was my post that I had scheduled to go out on the first of the month to coincide with the current challenge over on The Claritystamp challenge blog so if you haven't already had a look pop over and why not join in the challenge this month's theme is in the garden.  We had a shed load of fabby entries last month and the winner is picked by a random number so it is fair for all good, not so good makes no odds.

I have been busy this week catching up on orders and making some more cards for my stall, oh and some samples for some wedding stationery and of course because of Saturday Mr. Arthritis was letting me know he wasn't happy, thankfully he is having a little snooze at the moment.

What is it with this weather is Spring ever going to come to do you think?
I am off to Sincerely yours papercraft show tomorrow over in Leigh so if any of you are going and you see me - give us a nudge ;).  I am also having a stall at a local craft fair on Sunday details at top right of my blog - would be great to see any of you that can make it.

Eee had a big natter today haven't I ?  better get on with today's card

I love this stamp from Indigoblu .  The background has been stamped (very faintly with a background stamp)
onto white card and I brayered with mulled lavender distress ink  and the distressing and stamping is dusty concorde.   I added a few jewels and that's it. As I am out for the next two days I cannot say when my next post will be but I have taken lots of pics of the cards that I have made and not blogged yet so watch this space.

sentiment - don't know

Thanks for stopping by - please leave a comment if you can xx

In the Garden

This is my design team contribution to the Clarity Challenge blog

The theme is in the garden.

I didn't really know where to start with this challenge.  I don't have the garden set so my first thought was to do  a garden scene looking through the window at the bird table  but it didn't look right as the perspective was all wrong .  I thought about putting the bird table in this garden but that didn't work perspective wise either so in the end this is what I came up with.  The trees in the background started life as the twig from the bird song set and dressed with some leaves that come with the split tree set  the path and pavement are hand drawn
The little girls are part of the meadow dance set as they seemed to be just the right size! so with a bit of masking off I managed to just get two of them.  I didn't want "fluffy" clouds in the sky so I used a piece of torn paper.
