Ken's 70
Day two of the 70th birthday cards. This is a simple one. I used a mask and inked through randomly to create the background. I have a Tim Holtz paper pad (it's getting a bit thin now) and I cut out the letters to make into little tiles . I added some copper coloured webbing stuff I once got from Gwen at the Stamp Pad in Greenfield. http://www.stamp-pad.co.uk/
I have been over a couple of times its a lovely little shop.

This a card I made for his wife I apologise for the picture its all a bit dark but the card is made in black and grey. The stamp is from stamps away and the button is a 10p that a friend drilled to make into buttons. he made me quite a lot and they are great for men cards but I have used most of them (I might have to tap him up to see if he will do me some more!!!!).

Trees are green aren't they
HAPPY NEW YEAR ..... Late aren't I ?
I made the first one by inking up my splodgemat with several
colours adding a little spray of water and then "picked"it up on
card. the Change the world stamp I thought was fitting .. changing tree from
green! (if you get my drift).I added the trees and embossed in white.
I have been a very bad blogger and not visited here so far this year I have intentions to amend that LOL.
We had a quiet New Year we were a bit subdued as my youngest daughter was busy packing to go and start a new job in Gibraltar. She left on 4th January ready for her start date 7th. So as you can imagine it has taken me a while to get really back into the swing of things. She is loving every minute.
I thought I would pick up the gauntlet that Barbara Gray from
Clarity stamp threw down to encourge people to start making ATC's again. You can view it here:
I then had a thought. wonder if I could do a series of them
using the same stamps in roughly the same layout but using different techniques
or backgrounds so here are the results.
The background was
brayered and then I inked though a mask randomly. I stamped the trees in orange
and overstamped with brown .
I created the background to this one by distressing around the edge and then adding ink through a mask in the corners. I stamped with vintage photo.
Here I used versamark on the card then added perfect pearls mica
powder. Added more versamark through a mask on the corners and added another
shade of perfect pearls. The stamps were stamped in Denim adirondak and
embossed with clear powder.
The background on this one was brayered and then distressed
around the edges. I added a few water droplets from a stamp by http://designsbyryn.com/
I started
with black card this time and perfect pearls through a mask again. The photo
doesn't really show but the stamping is in eggplant and embossed with clear.
My final one (which I love) is again a black card and added
two different colours of perfect pearls through yet another mask and the
stamped embossing is in gold.
I really enjoyed
making these. ... I think I will have another go next month.

Thanks
This picture has worked better (dunno why I did exactly the same)
This is a card that I am sending to Kay & Alfie at Indigblu to say thank you for my lovely lady.
I was very lucky and won this stamp when I entered Kay's random act of kindness over on FB .
I used a raspberry Adirondak and brayered the background around the edges and left it lighter in the middle added some script and some of the ladies hair with the same inkpad.
I originally made the centre square and had black bits of her hair around the edge but at the very last one I smudge it. ( I will not repeat on here what I said....air was blue) so to salvage I used a spellbinder and cut her out and mounted onto black. where there is a will there is a way LOL.

80th birthday Card
First of all I would like to say sorry about these pictures. I have put them through Serif first to add my signature but I think I have done something not quite right as the pictures are now small ( I will have to play a little more methinks)
Anyhoo I have used some Kanban stamps that I have they are all cogs and great for man cards I also have another sheet of clock bits and both sets work well together. I used flitterglue and guilding flakes. I did a round sentiment and added the 80 in the centre and mounted on a spellbinder shape, added 3 coin "buttons" .
I used my Clarity letter set to make for you brother down the sides.

Little boy Blue
I made a frame card for this New Baby Boy card with blue pearl card. I added a die cut pram and printed some words on plain white pearl and then cut them out with a die cut shape.
I used the Clarity letter set for the words. The ribbon shows better on the lid than the box as this picture is rubbish.... David Bailey I am not.
Anyway wishing you all the best for the New Year and hopefully I will be back on here soon. Don't know when depends when I get my crafty stuff back out and my youngest daughter has landed herself a new job in Gibraltar so she is off on the 4th January - I am really going to miss her.
Happy Birthday Ethel
Hello there not been on here for a long time!! Naughty Naughty Blogger
Not feeling over bright today and not got my crafty stuff back out yet after tidying it up for Christmas and I was just on my lappy doing some admin and found a couple of cards that I haven't blogged so I thought I would post them both whilst I was here.
I hope you have all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year. I got some fab crafty stuff amongst my pressies and pennies to spend too!!
I did this card for a commission a birthday card for a lady in her eighties had to be pink and have flowers, I have a pad of really nice heavyweight paper/card so I used a piece for the background the nice lace ribbon was in my stash I got it from the haberdashery stall in the local market. I used pearl white card stock distressed with antique velvet distress ink. The flowers were made from some more of the patterned paper.
